Bordered
by the Davis Dam just north of Laughlin, Lake Mohave is a 67 mile stretch
of the Colorado River surrounded by colorful canyon walls and arid
desert. This long thin body of water is not wider than 4 miles across
at any given point, and part of the Lake Mead National Recreation Area.
Just as soon as you leave the marina at Katherine's Landing
you'll be out in the middle of nowhere exploring the numerous canyon's
and parking on a nice sandy beach to soak up the sun. Although there's
plenty of camping around Lake Mohave, Laughlin seems to be place of choice
to spend the night with it's inexpensive room rates and abundance of buffets.
Check out Lake Mohave next time you visit Laughlin - it's a great place
for a hot boater!
