What is a good beginner wake board?
Since I have a boat that has a tower I figured I would give it a try. The wife wants to as well. I am looking for easy to get up on and will fit my wife's size 5 and my size 11.
ANy suggestions??

It will be difficult for you both to have the same board. You will need a bigger one (146 or so) and she will need a smaller one (136 or so). If you get one board it will not be fun for either one of you and you will just get frustrated. Just my .02
I would try looking on Ebay for them. You should be able to get some pretty good deals. I got most of my stuff there. Good luck.

I am going to try and take it easy. Might never get in the water with the weather here. Rain all day Sat and now it is sunny and 54.
They SAY it is going to get better for the weekend. I sure hope so...:smashfreak:

I have been trying to learn for the last couple of years. I am doing something wrong. I just don't know what. I have water skied for years. But I can't get up on the damn board. I get frustrated and through the board back in the boat and get out the slomon ski. You guys get any tips?

What board you trying to get up on? I tried forever in the past.. Wifey bought me a properly sized board for X-mas a couple years ago and poof, wakeboarding is easy. I think I was trying to get up on a 132 or 136 before. I have my own 145 now and it made a WORLD of difference in getting up..

Same here. I've only done it twice, first time I used a board that was too small, had the toughest time getting up. Second time had a properly sized one and poof no problem.

I will check on the board size, I hope it is just that simple.

:chin_scratch:Or it could be that you had either too many or not enough cocktails.
