At what percent below asking price would you guys consider an offer as a low ball?

Anything less than the asking price is a low ball offer! IMO Can't blame someone for asking though....I would probably do the same thing.

I think people expect a deal within 10% of asking price but more commonly ends up 5% - that's my gut feeling.
Anything less than the 10% is a REAL LOW BALL offer I think. But 10% less would just be considered an offer in my book.
I had a deal nearly done on my boat last week - guy couldn't get financed even with 20% down. Stuart at Boulder Boats is the MAN! Hopefully he'll find me another buyer.
Thanks Greg, thats what I was thinking. I got one today on mine that was 16.5% below asking. I told him no thanks. Then he jumped up to 14% +/- and I still said no, and countered with a 5% drop. He had to think about it and I havn't heard back.
Would be a different story if I didn't already have it listed at just above trade in value!!!!!
alot of people are just looking for the deal of the decade too. there are a bunch of people hurting financially that just need to unload there toys to pay the bills. i can't blame a guy for trying, but it's frustrating and can be insulting if you are the seller. i had it put to me this way once, "if you're not embarrassed by your offer than you offered too much".

Basic economics. Supply vs. demand. When it comes to current real estate .......
Boat sold today for 4% less than asking price.....Of course the asking price was down around low book, and it was/is a high book boat...........
CONGRATS ON THE SALE!!!!!! now you get to go shopping for it's replacement :)
