guys,

im placing my order for the items i need to do this fux-up....

anyway, im wondering if i should get some of the felpro marine gasket sets, even tho im running a basic mid street 351W. dont know what the advantages are or if any... or should i just get the standard ones and not waste the money.

1-im going to need head gaskets (as you all know ) and intake, i believe i have the rest of them.

also, any recommendations on cleaning out the oil/water thats in the pan/engine????, should i run 5qts for a couple mins and then do a change? or what?

Thanks guys, and sorry if i sound like a lam3r, im really not as mechanically retarded as i sound, just unsure about marine vs surface:dunno:

Spend the extra $$ and go with the marine. If I remember right they use stainless sealing rings around the cyclinders.

What PB said. On the oil/water in the pan.....drain it and fill with new oil. Run the motor enough to warm it up and the shut it down, drain and refill. Then run again until warm, shut it down and check the dipstick. If it shows signs of water...repeat until no signs of water exist. This is what I would do. Good luck.
