i've got 2 questions:

1) does anyone know how to take off the armrests that are on the front seat of a 2000 tahoe? i have one that i want to replace and can't figure out how to take it off.

2) i'm also thinking of adding a dvd system to the tahoe. any suggestions, hook-ups, etc?

I think the DVD's in the headrest are fairly easy, and I think you have to take off the door panel to get the armrest off - but I'm not an expert for sure :)

not that armrest. it's the other armrest, the one on the right side of the driver's seat. as for the dvd thing. i'm told i can just buy the screen's already in the headrests and put them in place of the ones that are already there? i haven't done any searching for them yet. just curious if anyone has any experience with them.

They actually sell those headrest at Henderson Chevrolet, I saw them last time I was there for parts. For the armrest I don't know. Call Kevin Wickard @ 558-2430, he was a really helpful and knowledgeable guy down there. Have you checked out these guys: http://store.theseatshoponline.com/default.aspx , I am sure they can be helpful as well.

That is too funny! I guess he doesn't pay attention or doesn't realize that you were talking about the armrest in the middle! LOL!

I purchased the headsets DVD option on our 07, they are nice. Paid thru the A$$ for them though so that they would be covered by my GM warranty. I saw an episode of Trucks on TV that an install on them. Didn't look too hard on TV, look up the show on line and see if you can find details.

on the armrest, there should be a zipper for the cover of the armrest which will remove the cover, then you should have access to the bolt that holds it to the seat... if that is not the case (my Armada is like this) then you should be able to find a Tahoe forum with a shop manual.... or there are some shop manual websites that lets you download it for liek $5.....

Spread it apart between the seat and the armrest and look for a C-clip or maybe a wire retaining clip. Or you can borrow my sawzall.:chainsaw:
