Use to ride from Summerlin to Red Rock and ride there. After the growth west of the 215 it got scarry on Charleston with cars going 80mph right by you.

Supposedly there are some great trails up there, but I haven't had a bike in years. Now that the kids are riding I think I may want to take it up again.

Can't say I would want to ride on Charleston either!

As long as it got no "gay" pedals I am in...:D

And I think we will drag Kurt out of the tractor as well and have a good time... waiting for him at the top...:D

Since I cant boat here I have been biking. I have a Cannodale dual suspension and disk brakes. I ride all over the place. Japan is great for biking.

We rode 60 miles in the rain a few weekends ago to go to a Chili's!! About 30 signed up but only 15 went due to the rain. Was a great time!!

Google bike events in Vegas. I was suprised to find out how popular it is.

We have lots of off road trails around here as well. Most of the paved roads turn to dirt and back several times. If you have a road bike with 700Cs you will find a grate pretty easy. Plus with no suspension makes it a hard ride. We rode along the Tamagawa river for 25 miles. About half was dirt.

That sounds cool! At least you get SOME dirt time.

Took the Mrs. to Bootleg this AM for her first mountain bike ride. I told her it would be rough - it was - even the beginner singletrack trails which I did a few weeks back. She was a trooper though - a little banged up, but a trooper nonetheless. She went over and around stuff I never would have guessed :thumb: I think we found something else we can do together, and now the kids are riding bmx bikes it's super cool!

We have some fast single track here thru the mountains. We have tons of spiders, so it is always someone elses turn to lead the way!! You wind up covered with web if is is early.

The wife is not to fond of real techical stuff, but will ride it.

In the summer do they have ski resorts turned into downhill for bikes? I am planning to do that this year here.

What kind of bike do you ride? Mine is a Cannondale Jeckyll full suspension with disc brakes. I want to upgrade to hydraulic, but mechanical work pretty well. The wife has a Diamond back Sorrento hardtail.

Just got a couple of specialized. I went to the 29er full suspension - kind of like the bigger wheels! She got a specialized saphire - chick bike, but pretty loaded and FS too. They're fun for sure! Lord knows I need the exercise!

Went with the 29s. Pretty cool. Specialized makes a good bike.

I like the exercise part as well. I feel so much better after a good sweat. And you have fun doing it. I could never see how spinning bikes were ever any fun.

Did most of the dead horse loop this morning with LV Advantage! He doesn't have a bike anymore, but still has a heart that pumps and legs that seem to keep going uphill as fast as you can believe!

nearly 13 miles, climbed 1400 ft. total - sick ride! was pretty intense, fun, my legs are WORKED! Did the "3 mile smile" back down - a 3 mile downhill singletrack run - was crazy!!!

Love the sweat too - and I'm so damn fat the good Lord knows I need it :)

Oh yeah, for the record - would have much rather been on the lake instead of getting towed in. I'm bummed about that, but made the best of the weekend with a good hard ride!

Can't account for luck these days - I seem to have the worst of it when it comes to boating!

Here's a pick I took with my blackberry on the ride yesterday. You can't see it, but the entire strip is in the picture. What a view!
