When i was in havi this weekend my boa was acting up. when i put it in reverse the out drive would raise up. It did this about 3 times and then it was fine. what gives?

What kind of outdrive do you have? You may just have some air in your trim system. Just make sure the fluid level is good and then run it all the way up and down to few times to work the air out....

If that doesn't work...I'd just buy a new boat. :D

There's a mechanism that holds the drive in place. On old outboards putting it in reverse in high rev would kick it up ... the prop is 'pulling' the drive up and out of the h2o essentially.

Check, or have a mechanic check, the mechanism. Simple part replacement and no effect when in forward.

It's a year old bravo 3. I'm going to mead this weekend, but I will run it by a shop on my way and have them check it to be safe. It may be the flux capacitor?

Or a simple check valve, like I had had a problem with. $14,- took care of it.
