I realize that most of you guys are not into fishing, but rather hotboating - well, I am into both and I try to combine the two. I have had these livewells unplummed for a while since all the old pumps stopped working. Well, I redesigned the entire system and got it to my liking. Now I can pump water into the wells, aerate the wells, empty the wells, and its all controlled by simple switches and knobs. Behind the system is an array of check valves, 4 HD pumps, timers, and a lot of hoses and tubing. I also finished my onboard raw water system. Still working on completion of the freshwater system, but is still debating where to put the tank and the heater. The pump is in place and working for the freshwater system. Looking forward to hunt for yellowfin this fall....

Here is what it looks like:

Control panel for ALL pumps on CC (please disregard my little flaw on the corner):

Livewell in floor of boat (I designed and made the tubing that circulates as well as aerates, the light goes off automatically when the lid is closed..):

Freshwater inlet and outlet:

The shower, located so that it can be used from the swim platform or from inside the boat. Hot and cold water...

I also stocked the bar today, and the blender is still working and still making awesome Margaritas. It will be a good summer..:D

Looks cool, but all that "stuff" is gonna cost you the speed you are looking for. :) Remember, lite is might!

Yeah, but I need to win the million $ fishing as well... That's why I have three.... It is not really heavy stuff and it has been in there for a while, I just needed to get it all to work the way I wanted it to.... When are you getting your engines?

First motor is on dads boat to be broke in. There was some problem with the pilot jet setting so it wouldn't plane the boat off 2 weekends ago. Monty is going to the ramp to fix it and do some break in this weekend. Once it's broke in, it goes to the dyno at his shop.

Motor 2 is currently being cut on. I ordered the pistons yesterday. Probably the end of April.

Kim...as I have said before, you are quite the "do-it-yourselfer"! It all looks great but the switch panel came out AWESOME! I love the "Swang Engineering" engraving at the bottom...very custom!

:Thanx: All the panels (total of 9) have either Swang Engineering or Scarab engraved.

Way cool ... and I'm into same ... sacrifice a couple mph for the big fish is worth it. One question, I did not see shutoff valves installed on the seawater intakes ... did you put in? You never know when one of these intake valves will fail and most of these damn boat manufacturers don't bother.

You are sooo right, ofcourse I have shutoff valve. It is located in the next "room" (otherwise you would have to lift the livewell out to get to it). It is Bronze and correctly grounded to both fuel system and my galvanic isolator.

So sweet...

Did you do that yourself, or find a place that does engraving? I want to get my switch panel for the Masterlube engraved to match the Livorsi/Advantage panel.

Then again, with your inspiration, maybe I should make my own polished panel and put the switches in that, then get it engraved.

Where do you get the raw aluminum, just a metal outlet?

I did all of myself. I designed the aluplates in CAD and e-mailed them over to a company in CA that cut them out with a waterjet. I then fitted all the stuff I wanted on it and then sent it off to Livorsi for powdercoating and engraving with copies of my CAD drawings.

To make them in polished Stainless is not a problem either. Same procedure, just skip the powdercoating. I had mine Laser engraved, and the same would work on a stainless. Next time I'll do it, I will stick with the powdercoating but have my letters waterjeted instead of engraved. Then fill them with a milky clear and have lights behind them.

Curtis steel got plenty of it, I just bought what they had at the waterjet place and saved myself from buying the scrap. It is T-3032. (Same as T6061 with corrosion resistance, but harder)

So how do the T numbers work? T3031 vs T6062? I always see these listed but don't know the difference between all the different grading numbers.

I have not found any system in them either, just went by what Blue sea is using to make their panels. T-6061 as well as 5052 (not 3031 as previously stated) is used on aircraft and marine, but there are more variations of Bronze input to make the material to the spec you need. If you decide to make a panel, just go to www.emachineshop.com and start making it. They have numerous different alloys to choose from with a brief description of what each one will accel in. They will also quote you a price for the complete product and deliver to your door. Since mine had to be done in 4 steps I opted to go with a CA company that just does Waterjet and then make my own cuts, bends, and whatever before sending them off for powdercoating and engraving.

Cool, sounds like my kind of system, heavy in BS and short in actual facts. I'll do well.
