Before you have them do ANY work on your boat - drop me a note! I don't want anyone else to have the experiences I've had.

Aaron at Absolute is a great guy and does good work...he does not know how to use a phone however!! I think that is part of Greg's issue and I've heard from others...MANY MANY people swear by them. I've seen nothing but good work come out of there, however personally I use Prestige marine...

We too have had excellent work done at Absolute - both on the former Essex and our Howard. I don't know what the issue(s) Greg has but unless they can be verbalized and I'm convinced I wouldn't hesitate to use Aaron again.

They have been stellar for me. The go to the house, and pick up the boat, do the service and return it exactly as promised - on time.

Aaron could learn to use a phone better, but I stay on them on a daily basis and dont provide final payment (credit card #) till I get a full receipt faxed to the office showing what was done - by line item.

As far as service goes - I am the most anal one on here (well maybe - Greg probably takes that prize) - but I have had nothing but success with them so far.

Would recc them to anyone here.

I used them because they were friends of a close friend, and they tried to really F%$K me over big time. No they have no idea how to use a phone, so don't even think of using them if you want; your boat on time, work done right, taken care of while in the shop if it ever goes inside at all, and hope they don't do more work than you needed or wanted without authorization!

good luck if you do

We actually went over to Aaron's on Friday...

I had a weird 3 beep....pause....3 beep pattern coming from the boat when we put it into the water for the first time since November. Looked at everything under the hatch - nothing out of the ordinary. All gauges were functional and everything - oil temp, oil pressure, water temp, voltage, etc...all looked fine. Called the wife on the FRS and said - put the trailer back in the water.

We pulled the boat out, left the LH Marina and drove right over to Absolute. Now this is at 10:45 on Friday. Pulled up in back blocking the alley since the place was packed with boats including a HUGE Skater being worked on. I walked into the office and Aaron dropped what he was doing and brought the ECM reader out to the boat and within minutes diagnosed the issue as low drive oil. I swear I checked that in the morning before I left and the last time in Havasu on my maintenance "circuit". Aaron filled the reservoir for me as well. I asked what I owed him and he said: "Don't worry about it - no charge." Needless to say, I was impressed. Whenever I had the boat serviced there Brian always worked with me so Aaron really doesn't know me except maybe by sight. We were back on the water and leaving Thompson Bay by 11:30. Kudos to Absolute in this incident.

That's nice to hear. He could have told you to come back in 3 weeks.:thumb:
