so, im looking for another set of plug wires in red for the boat.
(The Jegs set is just too short as you can see from the pics)
so im browsing the net looking for anything i can find that meets my needs.
I wanted a universal Uncut at the distrib. With 90s on both ends, and HEI setup.and it has to be RED.
after searching around, i couldnt find exactly what im looking for.
So after 2 days of searching, i call summit as i think i found the set i wanted.
I begin to place an order for about 800bucks of stuff.
Tword the end, when we start looking into a set of wires for myself, i made the ??mistake?? of telling them that the reason i need to know the length is becuase its on a boat with OT headers, and i need them to wrap around the front of the engine, and under the header bends.
He puts me on hold for like 10mins...
Comes back and says, we cant process this order for you, becuase these items are not cerified marine products. (Filters, plug wires, extra cap and rotor, and some other misc chrome stuff). They said, that if i get pulled over on the water, i will get a HUGE fine for nothing have the right items on my boat...
I proceed to ask him, WHO makes a set of Marine approved wires that will work for me... he said he had no idea, other than he couldn't sell me the items i wanted.
At this point, im pissed off, so i ask to talk to his manager, and him and i get into it abit, and i keep asking, how do you guys get in trouble for selling this stuff, when you dont know what application its going to be used on.. had i not said anything about a boat, you would have takin my money quicker than i could install the parts.... so whats the problem.... Then i tell him that my friend got a set of Taylor wires from them, and its installed on his BOAT!!!!
Anyone else ever heard of this???? i just cant see how they would do that to us...
Now that im done ranting...
anyone know where i can get a set of wires that fits my needs???
