Anyone recommend a great hull cleaner? Had the boat on Powell for 8 days in the water and I have some tan discoloration from waterline down all over the hull. Cannot get off with Marine Cleanall and Acetone does not take it off either???
I'd do Powell again in a heartbeat, but want to clean up the boat.
Counting on you guys to give advice.

hot sauce or transom sauce.
even had to use a little one step cleaner/ one step wax to get it off.
Really bad, I had to use color restorer or heavy duty ovidation remover.
Always start with the least abrasive then gradually go up from there.

3M makes a line of abrasive polishes suitable for gel restoration. Hoawrd Custom Boats actually uses two of them to buff from the color sanding step. I've ordered some online but have never seen it for sale over the counter. Also, 3M's Finesse It II available at West Marine is a light abrasive polish that might work beyond the standard cleaners.

3M restorer and wax is brilliant for those jobs. Unless, it has gone into the gelcoat and have to be chemically removed. For that there is several different gels for sale from West Marine - all doing the same job. Good luck!

Thanks for input.
I found a cleaner, nonabrasive, and takes care of all manner of stuff on fiberglass, metal, wood, and vinyl.
Interlux is the brand name, and it is new from West Marine called heavy duty cleaner. Took all off my brother's boat and did not impact on the shine of the gel. A little soap and water after the clean, then 2 coats of Teflon wax and good as new.
