When does everyone do it 3K, 5k, 7.5K miles?

I did the first one at 3k since it was free. My truck has a computer that calcs when it needs to be changed and it averages about 10k between changes. Of course, that didn't have any towing in there so I am sure when summer rolls around the changes will be more frequent.

I do mine about every 3500. You could do oil sampling and probably go longer but I'm too lazy for that.

Every 5000 + oil Filter and 10,000 for fuel filter. Delo 400 for now and once the motor is broken in, Amsoil.

10,000 miles between changes, but I do an oil analysis cycle. The most I pushed my dodge was 16,000 and it was fine. I just did not want to tow to longbeach and back on oil that old.

I have followed oil analysis for over 3 years and experimented with different oils. I have found dello 15/40 dino oil to have the best results. I won't get into bashing brands, but this stuff worked the best for me.

I used to work at a Jiffy lube before I joined the military. There were a few that were decent mechanics, but most were just flunkies. I was a college student trying to make a truck payment. They used to push items on the customer all the time and if you damamged something Jiffy Lube would charge the EMPLOYEE 60% of what it cost. Isnt that what insurance is for?? They also made you go to the doctor if you were sick and they didnt have any healtcare plan. How could you afford it at what they paid? I hated that place and would not let them change the oil in my lawn mower.
