Christmas day ski trip

We went snow skiing Christmas day at the base of Mt Fuji. I skied on ski blades. I am hooked on those. They are fun. The young kid in the pictures is a natural. He was spraying snow right behind me. I couldnt out run him! He has been skiing since he was 2!. Good time! Cant wait to go back. This is only about an hour and a half from the house! Man made snow as it early in the season, but it was powerdery!

Snow blades/ski blades are short skis. They are about 39 inches long. Latest craze. You can ski backwards, spin, more fun than just downhill. Cant go as fast on them as you get unstable about 30 MPH or so, but tons of fun. You can really throw some good snow with them. Dont use poles either. Bindings are a little different. Same boots however. They dont release very easy. You have to do that your self!

She was cold when we started! This was after skiing and just outside the lodge doors!!:D
