Hey John, can you tell me if the newer Motorola i580 with the camera uses the same battery, charger, etc as the i530 I have now? I've been wanting to step up, but $230 for a phone buys a few tanks of fuel in the little boat. :)

The charger is the same but the battery is different.
The i580 is a killer phone!!! I use it when I go down to my boat.

Yes all your contacts will switch over, not a problem.
We have a Cell Brite Machine that is able to switch contacts over to just about any phone on the market.
