Got my first unemployment check yesterday. I pay into unemployment for 34 years never using it once and then when I need it it's not even enough to buy groceries for the family....what a joke! :cussing: I guess I won't be staying on unemployment any longer than I have to if I want to keep:thumb: the house payment and eat. :poke_eye:

I guess I will be out looking for a job today! :D

You're right about that Kevin, unemployment is a huge joke. Doesn't do sh*t for people who actually have something going on in their lives. Don't worry though, you'll be back to your normal 7 figure income soon.;) :thumb:

I thought unemployment insruance was only paid by the employer? I know in CA we pay into SDI, Sate Disabiliy Insurance, is that where the unemployment payment from our paycheck comes from?

Unemployment is paid by the Company... I got $386/week here in Vegas, not too bad considering I had a hell of a seperation package, summer off and got to watch Opra and drink all day.
