View Full Version : Amsoil, Building Materials, and Tupperware
i have two things to post here.
1) i am an Amsoil Synthetic Lubricants dealer. for those that aren't familiar with them, they make synthetic motor oil, greases (to include lower units), two stage air filters, bosch platinum +4 plugs, plug wires, etc etc. they have way to many products to list here. you can contact me on these boards, or at jdirig4703@aol.com or visit www.lubedealer.com/extremelubricants
2) i also work at Nellis Building Materials. we sell products such as kooldeck, mortex, material for stucco, plastering etc etc. we are located at 2350 N. Nellis Blvd 453-2500
3) ok, so i lied i have three things to put in here.....I need to mention that kim is a tupperware consultant. you can contact her at www.my.tupperware.com/kimberlydirig or email her at kdirig@aol.com
i think that's really it (at least for now)

Rude...I also WAS an Amsoil dealer - 15 years ago. Great stuff. Absolutely the best lubricants I ever used.
i couldn't agree with you more. i've been very happy with almost everything i've tried from them so far. it's a great company that will stand behind their product. any interest in using their stuff now or becoming a dealer again? i couldn't resist the opportunity to throw in a little spam http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

No to the dealership. I still - believe it or not - still have some product left! http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif Specifically ... 2 Cycle oil and Gear Lube and Grease. Don't imagine they ever go bad, do they?
you know that's a good question. i've never heard or read anywhere that it goes bad. how old is the stuff you have and what is it exactly and i'll find out for you if it has a shelf life. i'd like to know the answer to that one myself.

All of it is from the days when I was a dealer. Somewhere around the late 70's and early 80's - believe it or not! I helped finance some of my drag racing during that time period with the dealership.
E502, i'll do some checking and get back to you.

small world, i buy some of my products from nellis, i own cematop custom conrete. don't go in much but maybe 6 times a year they order some 3m quarts for us.
NO $H&#!! it is a small world. we've been around for about 31 years and getting ready to move up the street to a new building. so next time you need something, go about 1/2 mile north of the current building.
E502, do not use the 2 stroke you have left over from your dealership days. the standard is usually about 1-2 years. as far as the gear oil, they are PROBABLY ok but will be a different formulation from what's available today and may not be appropriate for what you are wanting to use it for. i hope this helps and if you have any further questions feel free to ask.

Yeah? The 2 Cycle Oil is probably nearly 20 years old. Should be pretty good vintage! http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

i forgot about this post,, anyway rude do you guys cary hardie backer at nellis supplies and if you do what is your price? i got into building alot of b-q units and it is getting to be that season again... and do you still only order 3m on need to bassis?
i'm not sure what hardie backer is. does it sometimes go by another name??? as far as 3m, we carry a bunch of different colors. black, white, blue, green, tan, etc etc.....i'll have to get the prices though. let me know what color you're looking for and i'll tell if we have it in stock. if we don't we should be able to order it. i'll try to check this post tomorrow around noon or so (if i get to take a lunch break that is).
oh yeah, i should mention that we have moved locations. we are no longer at 2350 N. Nellis, we have moved to 2680 N. Nellis. it's about 1/2 mile north of our old building. we are between weaver construction and inquipco.

hardie backer comes in 3x5 sheets and is kind of like drywall but much stronger. mostley used for under layment for counter tops or showers... as far as quartz goes we use alot of white. i have been ordering strait from 3-m in pallets but don't always need that much
25nordic, i'm sorry i TOTALLY spaced it on getting you a price for the 3m. i know for a fact that we always have white in stock (it's one of the colors we sell most of). as far as the hardie backer we don't carry it. i'm told we have some of it laying around somewhere but it's supposedly pretty trashed. i'll do a bit more digging around tomorrow.
the white 3m is $16.70 a bag if i remember right. how much of the hardie backer do you use? it may be something if we have enough market for it we can start to carry it. let me know if i can help any further. thanx.
