Not really "tuck n roll", just something cool in cloth that would match the front & rear seat.

But I would like some fuzzy dice and a dog in the rear that has a head that moves up & down over the bumps, and some dingle balls around the top. And maybey some pictures of a Bull on both sides. http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

I am just starting to get into doing the upholstery thing. I went out and bought expensive machine few weeks ago and my mother spent 3wks here trying to teach me. I have the seats out of my boat and making a new mooring cover. I wasn't going to say anything to anybody until I finished my project first.
But, I would be interested in looking into your project. If looks like something I can handle, all you would have in it is cost of material and I would get a little experience.
If you are wanting to go to a pro, no hard feels here.
Oh, by the way, I'm not sure if you are in LV, this will make a difference to.

Yes, I am in Vegas, and we can definately talk. I have no problem doing the cart as practice for you.

Whats the worst thing that can happen, not like it and take it to someone else who can do the job worse?

This is what i'm kinda looking for. Only I want cloth, not vinyl. Blue on the outside and a dark gray on the inside. Rear flip seat to match. What do you think?

srl520
12-06-2005, 09:51 AM
That looks much easier than the seats I'm doing in the boat.
If your are going to use cloth, thats better yet. Once you screw up with vinyl, the stitching holes are permenent. With cloth, you can redo a few times before the material starts to deteriate.

That's great. It's hard to tell from the pic, but on the finished deal, I would want the blue area to "puff" out more than the gray area, does that make sense? Kinda like the seats in a car.

Looks good. I got the stereo together last night. I will start working on a frame for the top. Something to keep you busy when you get the seats done. http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

What would you thing about some dingle balls around the top?

srl520

Not so sure about the dingly balls, but I would consider a mirror on the underside, flip down the front seat and add a brass pole on the back. http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/beerchug.gif

Kurt, you just have to call him about 2x a week and keep on him. Give him a date when you expect the boat to be done, and that you're picking it up then to go to a regatta or something. Give him a date 2 weeks in advance of when you really want it.

I had to do this with him until I figured out the thing to do is set a date when you drop it off. He can usually do it for that date when you spec it at drop off.
