Anyone going to Mead this weekend?

Do me a favor.... If you see any good coves that can hold 40+ boats, maybe very shallow to support mingling.... record the GPS coordinates.

Weather's looking good. 86 for the high. I plan to leave out of Cauville fairly early, while the water is nice. Probably be in by 8:30 I'd guess.

Im thinkin im gonna be out there around noon or so, but on jet skis =\ Might get the boat out, if so where you guys gonna be at?

If not ill be over in a cove thats just on the north side of the water intake.

I'll probably put in at Cauville and go from there. Wind is supposed to be up though...they are saying 15-25mph tomorrow. We'll have to play it by ear I guess. Typically if you go early, you can get some time in before the wind comes up though. Maybe it can be a short day...back on the trailer by 1pm or something.

Sounds good Dusty. My plan (unless the wind gets worse - it's supposed to calm down a bit Sunday) is to get out of Cauville by around 8:30am. I'm thinking that Rude also wants to go, and maybe all of us can hook up at Cauville.

VBD also said he wants to go, but has friends in town and doesn't know when he'll be able to make it out. We're gonna try to play it by ear.

Rude, we've decided to skip Saturday and shoot for Sunday. The weather should be nicer. So far, it looks like me, LM1/MsLM1, and VegasBD/LH and their group are going to go.

sounds good to me. after looking outside this morning and seeing the rain clouds we decided not to go today. is it safe to assume that LVHB is the meeting place? we probably won't make it out until late morning though.

Was I wrong or what, It looked like a perfect day from the house. No wind and nothing but sunshine. So, How was it?

It wasn't bad out there. I was disappointed to not see ANYONE from the club during the day. I did see Rude/Mrs. Rude at Cauville when I was going back in.

It was a little windy around the middle of the day, but it died out around 2pm.

yeah, sorry about that keith for getting out there so late. we thought for sure we'd miss everyone AGAIN. we stayed out until a bit after 6 then headed in. man it gets dark FAST out there. the wind started to pick back up just a bit too. the water has definitely cooled off! it was refreshing to say the least. until next time.........
