I live in Flagstaff, AZ. Great place to live. Grew up in Phoenix and I'm never going back. I do get spring fever though. It does get cold at 7000 feet. Everything runs like crap also.

Naaaa. It's a 91 with an aspirated 502. It's kind of heavy being an older boat so it tops out at 60 but it sure rides nice.

I looked at that boat when it was in the showroom. Nice ride. Mine is a Carrera 257 Party Effect, with a 496HO motor. It has a nice stereo, and all the creature comforts we need. We do most of our boating on Havasu, with an annual trip to Powell, and occasional trips to Mojave. We are thinking of a trip to Mead this year (haven't been there in years), so I am looking at all the Mead postings to decide where to go.

It is beautifull running up from Havasu through the gorge to Topock. Another one of our favorite runs is from Havasu down to Havasu Springs. In the course of a day, we will go one way or the other. Believe it or not, we like to "boat" in our boat, unlike a lot of boaters that just hang out in their boat. We love running the thing!!

5-7 hours to Powell I think. Pretty even split on ramps at Mead. I prefer Echo, but we've got a little boat so the extra drive is worth it for me to avoid the bigger water in the Boulder basin and narrows. Really I like Mohave best.

This is a Checker Marathon. It was featured on "Rides". Built by a company in huntington beach, was at SEMA. It then came to us to have a bunch of stuff fixed on it. When they build thoses cars on TV in a week they don't always get it right! Here is a very nice 66 Nova. the owenr brought it in 'cause he said it started making engine noise after he spun it to 7500 RPM and missed a shift! It broke a pushrod and now the tip is in the motor. So we have to pull the motor and tear it apart. While we're at it we are going to install Heidt's front clip, A/C, move batt to trunk, disks on rear, new carbon fiber dash, 5 speed, etc. it's going to be a super nice car when done.

The 57 in front of the Nova belongs to Chris Davidson. If you look in the front of your Hot Boat magazine masthead you will see who Chris is. Okay, this is one of my cars. It's a steel 34 Ford 3 window coupe. I've had it for a long time in various forms. I just recently removed the IFS and re-installed a dropped beam axle. I'm bringing it back to a more traditional style rod. Putting the door handles, windshield frame, trunk handle, etc back on. Also adding tri-power to the blower. Had to custom make a plenum / manifold for it because no one makes one. I'm thinking about marketing them. Yes, we do work on late models as well. Actually do general auto repairs in addition to the hot rod stuff and also mods to camaros, vettes and things like that. Gonna do a couple lifts soon too (my Avalanche and a few others).

Was hoping to get out on the lake today but the weather just wasn't cutting it. Just got my '06 stickers and everything! Man, I'll tell you I'm really going through boating adiction withdrawals. When i was living in Simi I could boat all year long. In fact, the weather was usually better in the winter 'cause there wasn't the marine layer of fog that you get in the summer. I would quite often drag the boat out to Channel Islands harbor and do a solo run just to get out there. There is nothing like being out there by yourself with no one else around, just you and the big blue!

Yes, we do work on late models as well. Actually do general auto repairs in addition to the hot rod stuff and also mods to camaros, vettes and things like that. Gonna do a couple lifts soon too (my Avalanche and a few others).

Was hoping to get out on the lake today but the weather just wasn't cutting it. Just got my '06 stickers and everything! Man, I'll tell you I'm really going through boating adiction withdrawals. When i was living in Simi I could boat all year long. In fact, the weather was usually better in the winter 'cause there wasn't the marine layer of fog that you get in the summer. I would quite often drag the boat out to Channel Islands harbor and do a solo run just to get out there. There is nothing like being out there by yourself with no one else around, just you and the big blue!

I'm actually pretty busy these days but thinking about calling a couple of my SCOPE buddies and seeing if they want to do a run. Maybe another Santa Barbara lunch run or just Channel Islands to Ventura and a quick blast to Anacapa. Or MDR / Long Beach to Catalina?
