According to the Lake Havasu News Hearld a boat partially sank in the channel yesterday. The boat was a new 28 foot Advantage Party Cat. I leaked approx. 70 gallons of fuel into the channel. The fire department cleaned it up but did not know how the boat sank. The owner just picked the boat up on Monday. Maybe someone forgot to put in the plug. http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/huh.gif

Who would forget to put their plug in? http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/ohboy.gif
I sank the parents boat many moons ago. Â*They just had the waterpump and impeller changed, I ran it for about 5 minutes before noticing that the temp had spiked. Â*Checked everything out and looked good, I docked the boat and went to get the trailer, by the time I got back 10 minutes later it was 1/2 under water, seems I melted part of the exhaust bellow and water poured in. Â*The marina and insurance paid for a new engine. Â*When it starts taking in water, it goes down fast!

Why did the marina have to pay? Did they do the work and messed it up? http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/stare.gif

Yeah, pretty much. http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif
We were up at Mohave at Telehone Cove. Get the day camp setup and then launch. The canopy is up so my mom is content to sit in the shade so my dad and I go for a ride. We come, hook the anchors up, and go sit in the shade. I look over at the seadoos a few minutes later and ask my dad if he thinks they look "right", one appears to be leaning a little to one side. Go check them out, oh sh!t, the plug is not in. Load it up on the trailer, drain the water, leave the seat off for an hour or so the 105 degree heat will dry everything out. Launch it again about 2 hours later and it's good to go. That is the only time I ever forgot to put the plug in.

If anyone knows, let me know how it sank ... one more thing to keep in mind so it does not happen to me!
