My steering was going last weekend. Took both hands to turn my boat. Ordered my a new one.
Lesson here. CHECK EVERYTHING, dont neglect anything.
The actual helm itself was splitting on the bottom. http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/crazy.gif http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/crazy.gif http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/crazy.gif

Glad you caught that steering issue also. I brought the Malibu home to do some work on it- steering related. The steering wheel locks up more than it work...which isn't good, especially when you are trying to drive on a holiday weekend with all of the idiots, plus trying to put it on the trailer-- good thing the trailer has (Had) guide ons, otherwise who knows what would have happen. I hit the right one...just hard enough to break the weld off. Oh well, time for some needed maintainence http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif Good luck with the boat, and sorry to hear about the motor too.

1300 for a pump and diverter and 200 for a steering system that is 1500/12 =125 Not much of a boat payment. I know what you mean though. gets much more and I will make a payment
