The Escrow companies have been working serious overtime to keep up with the volume in Lake Havasu. My house finished three weeks early and closed in only a few days.
The house is 1430'
The garage is 1450', that is 20x55 plus another car. Driveway is almost 60'.
Over the weekend I was able to park the Nordic in the garage, the garage door will close with the Nordic still attached to the truck - very cool. Over the winter months the garage will hold the two Nordics side by side, plus Leos' Essex.
On the inside I have two beach chairs and a fridge!

Thanks everyone!! It really feels good to get life going again.
The house was under construction when I started looking. Placed an offer on a Tuesday and finalized the deal that Friday morning. The tile guy did his job on that Thursday, leaving openings for carpet in the living room and the bedrooms - I sent him back into the house as soon as the offer was finalized and now the entire house is tiled, no carpet. Tile supports my low cleaning style - leaf blower is all I need.
Spent most of this past weekend on the water, camping at Black Meadow, but in my spare time.... got started on "Mr. Gadget" projects....
- moved everything out of my storage bay and into the garage
- hung blinds in bedrooms and living room
- made and installed water filtration
- installed water softner
- installed two attic fans and ran part of the electrical
- connected the fridge to the water supply
- built and installed the first of three water misters for the patios
- assembled my bed frame
- realized that my custom ordered shower doors are about three inches too tall for the master bath
- installed door stops
- extra keys made
- assembled the bbq
- four trips to Home Depot
- six hundred pounds of salt for the water softner because it was 25% off
This week.....
- Sisters house to reclaim my cooking stuff and my couch
- Utilities
- Washer and dryer to be delivered on Friday
- Garage door openers on Friday
- Connect the attic fans to timers and thermostats
- Install a timer on the water heater
- Install the shower door that is three inches too tall, thinking of framing the shower with crown molding to get around this issue
Also, I hope to collect a swamp cooler at Home Depot for the garage. After that then "Custom by KC" gets off the ground. My initial offerings will be:
- Custom electrical and stereo
- Custom water injection for the motor
- Custom cooling for your boat
I'm making dinner this Saturday night on the BBQ, drop me a PM if you want to come by so I can collect enough food - bring your beach chairs!

Remember it is always better to spend other peoples money, and thats what I get to do all day at work.
Unfortunatley I have none of my own , that is why I only have a 21 foot boat.

The house came with the standard loop to support a water softener, Mr. Gadget decided to expand upon that concept……
This a picture of the water filtration that I installed, enough valves to support bypass. Â*The filter on the left is charcoal to remove down to 1 micron including chlorine and other chemicals, the filter is black in color. Â*The filter on the right is a 5 micron filter and was white in color only three hours prior to the picture being taken. Â*Talk about dirty water…..
The faucet allows me to wash the boat with soft water, the outside faucets do not use the soft water.

I wanted to install water misters on the two patios, especially the back patio near the bbq. As I reviewed the available systems that you can buy for the home, I decided to price out and build my own from scratch. This is the first of three misting line that will be placed on the patios, the copper will be sanded clean and then clear coated – very cool!!
And they use soft water so no corrosion build up…. The vertical pipe provides a mounting place for a ball valve as well as a wall of cool air as you exit the house through the sliding glass door – less hot air entering the house.
