Has anyone been there before? I am interested in making a trip up there late this summer and would just like some first hand info about the place, i.e. where to stay, things to do, where to launch, hazards etc. http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

My buddy camps up there so the info will be from that perspective. I'll call him later today.

It is pretty cool. The wave diminish into the shoreline and there is very little boat 'chop' while crusing. You can haul ass at some pretty high speed down fingers. They have some floating bars too. http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

I just talked to my buddy who is up there every year...

HE camps at Tower Park which is approximately 10 miles past Stockton off of the Hwy 12 exit. Big campground with a nightclub and marina and hookups for trailers and motorhomes.

He also says that there is a "hotel row" and "restaurant row" with a big marina nearby. He doesn't remember the name of the marina but suggested you call any of the boata repair shops in Stockton and they could easily give you a name. Lots of restaurants and clubs on the water.

Hope that helps a little.

I have been looking into going this summer as well. Â*So far I have found Snug Harbor and a few houses on the Delta for rent. Â*Here are three listings and a site to the Delta. Â*The house in Orwood looks cool. Â*We were looking to rent it but the property manager doesn't call back. Â*I hear a houseboat is the way to go! Let me know when you go up there. Â*

Here is another house we were going to rent. Â*Prices are pretty accurate.

The Delta rocks. There is about 1800 miles of waterway to explore. One place to check out is Lost Isle. It is in the main channel. Great place to party during the day. Tower Park is a great place to launch and camp though the launch ramp is pretty steep as in really steep. Helen and Hermans is a great place to cruise to for B-Fast or Lunch, there are lots of coves to cruise into and have a relaxing moment. If you really want to talk to some folks that know the Delta well, log in to
www.laidbackboaters.com Almost everyone there floats the Delta. Hope this helps. Later
