Get yourself a map of the lake ... West Marine has them. On Lake Mead Blvd. west of the hwy. Water is a bit different than the gulf. Now that it is low, there are places to watch out for ... rocks and such just under the surface, some not well marked. Lake Mead Marina is a good place to put in (south end, lower basin). Overton is also ok to put in (north end, upper basin). Sandy Cove (about 5 mi. up the lower basin) is a popular hangout, up through the narrows and into the upper basin, a few miles hang a left and LVHB Beach is on your left. If you're up for a long trip, Big Sandy up past Temple Bar is popular as well. Many other places too numerous to mention for beaching for the day, camping out, etc.

Or you can see a few here. They are not as good as the ones you can get at West, but they will give you an idea of what you got ahead of you.

Hey man, welcome and hope to see you on the lake. This is the nicest boat club I have seen, so join us and bring beer.

Be vareful with that Hydro on Mead. Mead can get pretty rough, you don't see to many drag boats out there. Luckily the river is close, you may find that a safer place to boat.

Who rigged the boat? I grew up with the Deaver's. They made a bad Ass boat for sure.

Good Luck.

I am the wrong guy to give advise on posting a pic, but I will try.
When you reply, there is a "Brouse" button near the bottom of the page. Click there, find the image on your computer, and it should work. The picture needs to be resised to I think 640X480 res.

Also there has been some issues on the site with pics, so I am not sure if it will work but give it a shot.

I will try to post a pic of my boat, we will see if it works.
