I'm too lazy to search through all the 20+ pages on that other thread since most of it is just Kevin playing resident post whore!!

Looks like I've got Craig (and the wives)talked into going that weekend, we have a few questions:

1. Is the whole deal at LVHB beach??
If so, where the hell is that located??

2. Is this Friday and Saturday??

3. What casino/hotel would be the closest one to stay at that's reasonable and has good boat parking??

4. What launch ramp is closest??

5. Anything else I need to know??

6. Where is Kevin staying, so I know where NOT to stay??!!http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Thanks for any help!

Brad

Get all the answers here. LVHB Regata (http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/cgi-bin/forum/ikonboard.cgi?act=ST;f=6;t=2057) http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/laugh.gif
Red Horse says he's gonna put some things together still. Says you'll need a gps. Lots of us are staying at the hotel at Echo Bay (including Mcd http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/laugh.gif ) Thinking Saturday will be the big day.

For you AZ guys, I would stay at the Hacienda (I think that is the right name), just across the dam. Don't confuse it with the Hacienda in North Las Vegas. If you stay at Temple Bar (I think they have a motel but no casino) LVHB beach is only about ten miles away. From Temple Bar head down stream, turn right into the Overton arm and stay to the left. It's only like a half mile up the arm.

Well, I've been doing some research. Fiesta Henderson is only $70/ night that weekend on expedia.com, Sam's Town is $85/ night.

We want a place where we can play in the evening, maybe even take a drive into town. The website says Fiesta is 15 miles from Lake Mead. How far do you guys think it is from Fiesta Henderson to Callville?? I would like to avoid Boulder Basin as much as possible, Callville would put us further up the lake.

I would love to stay at Temple Bar, but there's no nightlife down there. That is a beautiful part of the lake though.

I can't help this shit, I worked on the boat all damn day and am REALLY ready to go boating!! http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif Â*http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/crazy.gif [B]

About 20-25 minutes from Fiesta to Callville.

All the night life will be at Echo Bay where we are all staying....that's right, I will be there too! http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/cool.gif We will be there Saturday through Wednesday at staying at Echo Bay.

Thanks for taking up my slack fellas. I am still on my 2 weeks and been doing guys things. ( working on the boat and drinking) Well anyway, glad that yall are gonna make it Brad.

The event day is Saturday. I am going to be there friday and camp on the beach at LVHB beach. Sat the event and then Sunday is like take a cruise or go home day, recover or whatever you feel. Me, I am taking off that Friday - Monday.

Lots of guys are staying at Echo bay. No casino, no nightlife, just the wonderful people of this club. That is all. They have a slip issue there that if you are over 23 foot (maybe more or less contingent on who you talk to) they cannot give you a slip for the night. TMF, can you explain further for me please? Thank you.

As far as Casino, you might want to try the Cannery. It is new, and in a decent area. Not sure if closer than than the others. There is always the Barcelona on Craig and Nellis. Just better have your boat insurance paid up. http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/laugh.gif http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/laugh.gif http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/laugh.gif

Do you have a GPS?? If not you need to get one to play in our reindeer games. Nothing fancy, just have to be able to get from point A to B to C to D etc. If you really hate electronics, then you can team up with some one that does have one. You are going to get coordinates to locations and have to find them. NO MAP. Time to use that thing for other than top speed and Photo Shop ( Beer Hunter)

Other than that, show up early, have fun and stay late. More to come on the "official" agenda. http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/cool.gif http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/cool.gif http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/cool.gif http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/cool.gif

Fiesta is a nice place. Have stayed there a few times with no problems at all. It is prolly a half hour or a lil more from driveway to ramp.

i live rite up the street from fiesta- lake mead marina is the best place to launch from and its 17 miles lot to ramp, caulville is all f#$@ up and it's 27 miles lot to ramp. if you dont mind hauling your rig thru 3-4 miles of crap caulville is a nicer ramp and closer to lvhb butt if you like a nice cruise, lake mead marina is about 22 miles and scenic route, make sure you swing by sandy beach to see some fellow boaters, its just a left hand sweep from caulville marina. echo bay is secluded ,beautiful part of the lake to visit, butt lots of hidden islands to avoid to get to lvhb beach. make sure you cruise slow and watch your depth gauges. once you do get to lvhb beach , make sure you stay far left---38 revolver seems to like the right side and he takes up lots of room! JK 38, hey just a thought for everyone to consider---lets all meet by hoover damn and do a parade up the main by all the hotspots thru the narrows then end up at lvhb beach

Was looking around for a room this weekend in LV and came across a couple of links to lake area hotel/motels. Maybe they will be of some help for some. Dont know anything about them, but I don't really know anything about the place we are staying either. Heck they may have even been mentioned before, as this makes the third or fourth thread, hard to keep up.
