I'll be out on the lake listening to tunes in Steamboat Cove - Looking forward to a good weekend to just relax, work has been way too busy this month. Look me up if you are in town!

This weekend is my rest before all of the fun of next weekend. I hope you have installed super-swamper tires on your eliminator....

still freaky low, I'll provide a full report after this weekend. Two weeks ago when I took the boat out, there was no way I was going to the North into the river, and I know the entrance like the back of my hand.... I hope it is higher now. Doing a charity thing for kids of Havasu this weekend with LakeRacer - we will be south so it should be no concern.

There are coves where we have been before and suddenly there's no clearance between the hull and the rocks! Marker bouys are not to be trusted! Beware of low spots everywhere.

Just went from the Nautical to Park Moabi on the 17th. Water elevation was at 446.8. It wasn't too bad but you did have to follow the dark water carefully. Any lower than that is suspect. The channel into Moabi is very shallow. You guys need to stay way right while exiting toward the river especially at the mouth.

Look forward to your report after this weekend KC. The weather looks like its gonna be killer!

The weather this weekend was fantastic, clear with no wind. Water levels are up a touch, the sandbar is the smallest I've seen it in a long time. Really looking forward to next weekend.

No problems getting to the sandbar?

Just checked with the "official" Colorado River Operations website. They are projecting an increase in water level on the 25th, then steadily rising. We'll have no problems getting to the Sandbar. Again, I made it to Park Moabi during the lowest water level for the month of March.

Yeah...and I lunched two props in two days on submerged obstacles in locations where no problems were ever encountered...like exiting the Marina. I just signed up for my Frequent Prop Repair card! http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Just don't go anywhere near the coves and Marina! My next boat will definitely have a depth gauge! http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Depth gauges are great for setting anchors but aren't that useful when on plane because of the stepped bottom, in fact mine doesn't work past about 15mph http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

As long as you stay in the dark blue stuff, no problem. I went up early in the morning before things got stirred up and I could see the sand with no problem. Stay to the right.

As you are going upstream, stay to the right as you drive through the upper end of the lake and enter the river.

Truely.... do not pay any attention to this information, look for the blue water route as you are entering the river, punch it and don't let off...

Since your coming down stream, you'll see the floating pods of sticks and garbage in the lake, those pods are over the deeper water that is not sugject to surface flow.
