I do not want to further Hijack the other thread, but a few people were talking about redoing their garage floors in the checkered flag look. I got some info on this so if you are interested, PM me, and I can forward it to you.
Thanks,

D4$...What kind of info did you get on the tile?
I checked the stuff at Home Depot it was like .98 per tile...we should be able to do it for cheaper than that and still get some good quality tile...shouldn't we??
If you need some help with your drive let me know...but you just need to pull it off and lube the spline(gray-high pressure grease), coupler(green-Mercury stuff) and new gear oil of course. Just don't forget to unhook your speed-o tube before trying to pull the drive off.
Let me know..

You can install the cheap self stick stuff for about a buck a foot. The better commercial tile is about an 1/8 inch thick and will stand up to garage abuses better. It is sold at home depot as well. I am not sure of the price but it will be a little more expensive. The only thing that you will need is the glue and a notch trowel to apply it with. Get the water resistant glue for a solid or concrete subfloor. I am sure MP know how to do this as well or yall can wait till I get back. http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/cool.gif http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/cool.gif

Not ulsess you tool box is from Playschool. http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif They are just very sturdy Plastic tiles.
Also note. peeps here in Vegas, stay away from the peel & stick one's. They can not handle our extreme temps.

In case you all haven't done your floors yet... Just saw a commercial for this stuff a few days ago, looked pretty cool on tv anyway. Race deck (http://www.racedeck.com/)

WOW! Ok you got me real curious about the cost so I gave them a call. After 20 minutes of himing and hawing, we finaly get down to brass tacks. 1000 sq. ft.=$3400. That includes shipping direct to the house, no tax. The guy told me you get a volume discount, so the more you order, the lower sq. ft. price. You can do up to 2000 square via UPS. Lil pricey for me, but maybe next time.

You can buy ceramic tile black and white for around a buck a square. If you break one, chisel it out and replace. What is this stuff made out of, gold?

For a garage you should use epoxy paint, and that stuff is BIG $$$'s. The concrete has to be free of all dirt and oil for it to cure correctly. The HD guy said it would take 48 hours to fully cure, and is best with at least 2 coats applied.
