LOOKING FOR BEACH AREAS YOU CAN DRIVE UP TO. BOXCAR COVE HAS BEEN MENTIONED. BUT IS IT CROWDED ON THE WEEKENDS? DO I NEED TO GET THERE EARLY? IF SO HOW EARLY? ALSO ARE THERE ANY BEACH AREAS I CAN DRIVE UP TO NEAR ECHO BAY. I HEARD IT IS VERY NICE NEAR THERE. PLEASE HELP.THANK YOU--- GOING JUNE 15TH.

We hung out just south of Echo Bay marina last year and there was an incredible beach on the west side of the lake, I would check that out. Also, there's a nice beach area just south of the channel on the west side also that doesn't get too crowded.
Welcome and glad to have you jump on the boards with us. It's a great group and we look forward to hearing more from you and hanging out on the lake together.

I was just looking at the map I made for the site under lakes/mead/map. I think that first area is where I put Roger's Bay.
If you're looking for a good map I have them in the shop section (shameless plug, I know)

I could've listed about a dozen near Echo but they don't qualify because of water only access. Reminder: water level above Echo is very low and there are many shallows in places you wouldn't imagine ( 600 yrds off shore). Glad I was on my ski and not in the boat.
