Howard 22' Sport XL

Does anyone out there own a Howard 22 Sport that can give me some feedback on small-block peformance and handling as a family ski boat? Â*I know Howard quality is exceptional, I am more interested in usability and towing.

How about this, does anyone know anybody that owns a Howard 22' Sport? I realize they make only a few boats a year, but someone must have some insight.

Here is what I know. My buddy boat a 22 sport in April and returned it in May. He said it had some major problems with porposing and was not happy with it. He did have the 496 HO in it and I am not sure if maybe the x-dimension was wrong or not. Howard is a very well built boat and I was very impressed with their fit and finish. What ever you do....go for a long test ride and go through all the rpm ranges.
