496 or 496 HO

I have heard that when you get to this size of engine you NEED to have thru hull exhaust. Is this true or will the Bravo 1 or 3 have enough area to effectively vent the exhaust thru the hub??

I think that thru the hub would be a restriction and not let the engine breath.

You are correct. Â*You would only be reducing your hp potential of the motor with "thru hub" exhaust. Just relax guys....I said I have nothing at this time! http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif I go for the water test this Saturday morning. http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wow.gif I went by Eliminator today (actually, it is a haul from Irvine http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/insane.gif ) and it is looking good! http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif They have just a few more things to do to it...fix the depth finder senser on the transom, switch exhaust tips, paint AZ #'s and name, paint scratches on the outdrive, and detail it. It will be ready to go on Saturday! http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/cool.gif So as of this Saturday, I am not boatless anymore.....can't wait for June 19th! http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif Oh yeah...and put a bigger (taller) prop on it. http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/crazy.gif
