Ok, another question for you guys, FORGET that boattraderonline even exists ok! Now, if you were selling your boat, and wanted to sell it through the net, how would you find what website you wanted to sell it through?
Would it be google, yahoo, aol, etc search engines? And if so exactly what would you type in?
Would it be advertising? If so what kind? Magazine, trade shows, whatever.
What other things would lead you to decide on a website to sell your boat at? How important is price? How important is traffic? Would you want to see testimonials? How important is it where the site ranks for terms like used boats and boat classifieds?
HMMMMMM, I'm really curious as to your answers - I appreciate it!

Do you want to clarify that RL? Something other than your mind-number "Google, boats for sale" would help http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/laugh.gif Is that what you'd type in to find or sell a boat?
Just messin' dude.

I'd use google and type "used boats". Also, I wanted to mention to you that I think that the column that says "bids" on boatxchange actually might be hurting you. All that my friend would talk about was that when he and his wife visited the site to potentially list their boat, all that they noticed was all of the zero's in the bid columns. You and I know that whenever a "1" would be entered, the boat is usually sold but not everyone sees it that way. I think they think that nothing is moving on the site. Just an fyi...

Funny you mention that, in the next revision that column will be taken out, so that was already on the drawing board. the thing with that column is it shouldn't be there anyway because it's misleading. The overwhelming majority of the listings are classifieds which is why there are no bids, not that there aren't any bids on the site, but that they're classified ads which you can't bid on.
Thanks for bringing that up though, I thought it was true but now I know it's true.
